A very simple and effectively executed advertising spot for Samsung’s HD camera, the video revolves around an “ordinary” guy in his apartment performing an impossible feat. Interesting to note that it doesn’t matter if anything was actually done, the piece engages the viewer and has a very high replay value. Successful branding done on the fly and for relatively little money (I would imagine).
Prezi is a new, powerful drag and drop app based in flash that can make client presentations a bit more than the current drags they are. Essentially, Prezi offers a navigable, zoom in/zoom out, “flowchart” canvas. It is highly visual and give presentations more bang on the low dollar…
Champagne Valentine is another interactive agency that contributes a certain organic (read: absolutely bonkers) aesthetic to the advertising space. They’ve done a few large scale projects (remember those really awesome, psychedelic Napster ads back in the day?) and a few small scale projects. Their emphasis is, just looking at the site, pure design aesthetic. They keep every project in the same “key,” as it were.
The site’s design is a rather interesting way to entertain AND inform visitors to your site.
O! Adobe AIR what glorious visions of the future you offer us! Behold, the TweetDeck–an application as powerful as it is misunderstood!
These sort of lifestreaming apps are manifesting themselves everywhere and as such, we might as well start getting inside and tweaking the suckers. The TweetDeck app is an example of what Adobe AIR offers developers and shows the payoff of simplicity of design and intelligent integration of new technology.

Adobe and Facebook have teamed up to provide developers a useful AS3 API. This, obviously, presents CA the opportunity to explore new, wildly robust Facebook Platform extensions for our Social Media and Interactive projects.
From the Adobe Site:
“Facebook
Deliver rich, social experiences on the web
The Adobe Flash Platform and Facebook Platform provide the ideal solution for building rich, social experiences on the web. Flash is available on more than 98% of Internet-connected PCs, so people can immediately access the applications, content, and video that enable social interactions. The Facebook Platform is used by millions of people everyday to connect and share with the people in their lives. Together, both platforms allow you to:
Share: Create rich interactions for users to share with friends.
Have fun: Make games social; let users compete against their friends.
Connect: Let users connect to your RIAs with Facebook Connect.
Solve problems: Build RIAs that harness the power of community.
Reach people: Reach millions of Facebook users through social distribution.
The new ActionScript 3.0 Client Library for Facebook Platform API, fully supported by Facebook and Adobe, makes it easy to build applications that combine the strengths of the Flash Platform and Facebook Platform.
Stink Digital has launched a new site for Phillips to tout their newest top-of-the-line television utilizing 21:9 aspect ratio. The interactive trailer on the site provides a cool jumping off point for future brainstorms in regard to interactive video timelines, etc.
Here’s the video:
Although, I think it’s best to watch it from the site itself–inasmuch as you lose ALL interactive features on YouTube.
This is a very simple and rather hilarious :30 spot for the Boston Bruins. It was brought to the table mainly to entertain and to emphasize that “nothing trumps good writing.” Indeed.
It is important for use to approach all of our projects with a sensitivity to the meta-narrative of the campaign and attempt, to the greatest extent possible, to create simple, powerful and cohesive campaigns.
Nothing beats a simple idea delivered in a clever way.
A company called Polar Rose has created some proprietary software that utilizes Flickr’s API to instantly recognize faces of friends within imported photos. From their website:
Just name a person in a photo, Polar Rose then shows you possible matches for that person in other photos you have – reject any incorrect matches with a click.
Now you have named that person in the other photos they appeared in.”
